National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS)
Vide above letter no. TA/NAPS/2016/Stipend/794 dated 07.06.2017, Skill Development and Industrial Training Department, Haryana, Chandigarh, the scheme to engage apprentices under Apprenticeship Act-1961 has been launched under National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) of Government of India to promote Apprenticeship Training with a target to provide the apprenticeship training to 50 Lakh youth per year 2020. The NAPS came into the effect from date of notification of the scheme i.e. 19.08.2016. The detail guidelines of NAPS states that all Govt. departments, Pvt. Establishments/ Industries/ National Public Sector Undertakings/ State Public Sector Undertakings are to engage apprentices @minimum 2.5% and maximum upto 10% of the total manpower working on regular/ contractual/ outsourced posts including in sub-offices/ field offices.
In order to promote this scheme in the State and in District Sirsa, the Institute has engaged 08 no. of apprenticeship trainees having qualification ITI passed for a period of 01 year @ Rs. 7700/- per month (minimum), as per the guidelines issued by State Government and Deputy Commissioner, Sirsa as Chairman NAPS Scheme in District Sirsa.
